Crash2

Weighted Options

Weighted options allow you to choose how likely a particular option's value is to be used in game generation. The higher a value is weighted, the more likely the option will be chosen. Think of them like entries in a raffle.

Choose the options you would like to play with! You may generate a single-player game from this page, or download an options file you can use to participate in a MultiWorld.

A list of all games you have generated can be found on the User Content page.

Game Options

Progression Balancing

A system that can move progression earlier, to try and prevent the player from getting stuck and bored early. A lower setting means more getting stuck. A higher setting means less getting stuck.
This is a range option.

Accepted values:
Normal range: 0 - 99

The following values have special meanings, and may fall outside the normal range.

Speedrun Logic

This option lets you choose to enable any of a few implemented speedrun skips. For any that you enable, you may be required to do it in your seed, depending on how the randomization plays out. List them using the names provided below. Supported tricks: red_gem_early: get the red gem in Snow Go without using the secret entrance. road_to_ruin_gem: get the box gem in Road to Ruin without using the secret entrance. ruination_skip_green: access the green gem path in Ruination without needing the green gem.

death_link

When you die, everyone who enabled death link dies. Of course, the reverse is true too.

Collection Checks

Life Count Checks (Range)

Add checks for reaching certain life counts Logic uses crystal count in order to consider higher life counts as occurring later in the run This works like the Python Range function, so the first number is the start point, second number is the stop point (not inclusive), and the third is the step size Example: "10, 31, 10" will add checks for collecting 10, 20, and 30 lives Values that fall outside the range of 5-99 will be ignored Setting step size to 0 will disable this option, so just use something like "0, 0, 0"
This option allows custom values only. Please enter your desired values below.

Life Count Checks (Custom)

Add any custom values to the previous option These need to be written as strings. Valid values are in the range 5 - 99

Fruit-Sanity

Adds wumpa fruit checks This applies only to freestanding wumpa fruit (not fruit spawned from boxes/enemies) Full sanity adds a total of 2395 individual wumpa checks to the game Fruit bundles condenses this into 404 grouped wumpa checks

Exclude Difficult Wumpas

Excludes particularly difficult/annoying wumpa fruit locations, which makes it so they won't contain useful/progression items The specific location locations affected by this option are marked with a "*" in their name

Fill Wumpa Checks Locally Chance

% chance to pre-emptively fill wumpa checks with a Crash 2 filler item The purpose of this is to prevent games with fewer checks from being clogged with Crash 2 filler This runs before the multiworld item placement algorithm and serves as a better alternative to using the default local_items option You could also set this option to 100% and have traps enabled if you want an "avoid the wumpa fruit" gamemode
This is a range option.

Warp Randomizer

Randomize Warp Destinations

Randomize the destination of the 25 basic warp portals in the Warp Room. This currently does not include the secret warp room. Bosses are not randomized.

Non-Randomized Warp Destinations

If "randomize_warp_destinations" is enabled, any levels placed in this list will retain their original position in the Warp Room. You must specify the secret entrances separately. For example, "Snow Go (Secret Entrance)" will keep the Snow Go secret entrance portal as the second portal in the secret warp room.
Trap Options

Trap Chance

Chance to replace a filler life/fruit with a trap If playing with fruit sanity you should lower this chance because there will be a LOT of traps
This is a range option.

Gimmick Lock

Gimmick Lock

This serves as a universal toggle to enable/disable locking the Jetpack, Jetboard, Fireflies, and Polar behind an item. Each gimmick can be customized in how strict the logic rules are or be disabled completely. Disabled: This gimmick will not be locked If you don't have X gimmick unlocked, then: Basic: An entire level that normally contains X gimmick will be out of logic Normal: Anything that is trivial to obtain without X gimmick will be in logic (trivial means it is either expected of you from the vanilla game or doesn't require any complex movement) Lunatic: Anything that is possible to obtain without X gimmick will be in logic
