What does randomization do to this game?
- The world map is no longer unlocked through linear story progression.
- Instead, regional passes must be acquired to unlock the locations in those regions
- The regions are Gallione (where you start by default), Fovoham, Lesalia, Lionel, Zeltennia, Limberry, and Murond.
- The goal of the game is still to travel to Murond Death City and defeat Altima.
- However, in order to unlock the way there, a number of Zodiac Stones must be acquired first from the multiworld.
- Character recruitments, shop inventory unlocks, jobs, and Ramza's unique Squire job are unlocked as multiworld items.

- Key progression items (world map passes and Zodiac Stones)

- Items containing an amount of gil added straight to your War Funds.
- Items containing an amount of JP added straight to every characer's jobs.
- Optionally, enabling jobs besides Squire for your team can be in the item pool.
Locations
- Every required story battle in the game is a location
- Events that would normally reward a character, shop inventory unlock, or progress Ramza's job form are also locations.
- Optionally, sidequest battles can be included in the location pool.
- Optionally, the "rare" battle associated with each battleground can be in the location pool.
- Optionally, meeting the requirements to unlock a new job can be in the location pool.
- Optionally, poaching monsters with Secret Hunt can be added in the location pool
