Road Trip Adventure
Setup Guide

What does randomization do to this game?
All parts, collectibles, overworld items, and licenses are randomized into the multiworld.
Parts are received as upgrades. For example, receiving your first engine item will give you the Panther Engine, receiving a second will give you the Blue MAX, and so on.
Additionally, in order to progress, area unlocks for each town must be found in the multiworld. Depending on the Area Access Mode, this involves either getting one of two garage decorations associated with that town, or collecting a certain number of Stamps. (See the README for more info.)
What is the goal of Road Trip Adventure when randomized?
Win a race against the President (complete Stamp 100).
What items and locations get randomized?
Items
Part upgrades, NPC rewards, overworld items (such as gemstones), and license upgrades are all randomized into the item pool. Stamps are also randomized in if the Stamps Area Access Mode is chosen (see the README for more info).
Locations
Collecting a stamp, purchasing an item from the part shop for the first time, receiving an item from an NPC, collecting an overworld item, race completion (6th or higher), and receiving a license upgrade are all AP locations.
When the player receives an item, what happens?
The item is immediately added to their inventory, and they receive a message in the client. (A notification is not currently shown in-game.)
What versions of Road Trip Adventure are supported?
Currently, only the NTSC-U release is supported. The PAL and NTSC-J releases may be supported in the future.
What other changes are made to the game?
The part shop in My City now serves as a way to rebuy items you've already received from the multiworld. It no longer sells parts based on which part shops you've visited, and no longer has any parts that it sells by default.
Tin Raceway has been changed to a Rank A race in order to make it available as a Location. (In vanilla, it is only available post-game.) However, completing it is not required to complete the check for obtaining a Super-A license (i.e. only the vanilla Rank A races need to be completed).
Additionally, the email system accessed via the garage has been disabled in order to free up enough room in memory for the randomizer patches.
Is this randomizer compatible with other mods?
The randomizer should be compatible with Souzooka's mods included in recent versions of PCSX2 (e.g. the Widescreen and Analog Steering mods), available under Settings > Game Properties > Patches.
