Weighted Options

Weighted options allow you to choose how likely a particular option's value is to be used in game generation. The higher a value is weighted, the more likely the option will be chosen. Think of them like entries in a raffle.

Choose the options you would like to play with! You may generate a single-player game from this page, or download an options file you can use to participate in a MultiWorld.

Game Options

Progression Balancing

A system that can move progression earlier, to try and prevent the player from getting stuck and bored early. A lower setting means more getting stuck. A higher setting means less getting stuck.
This is a range option.

Accepted values:
Normal range: 0 - 99

The following values have special meanings, and may fall outside the normal range.
  • 0: Disabled
  • 50: Normal
  • 99: Extreme

Accessibility

Set rules for reachability of your items/locations. **Full:** ensure everything can be reached and acquired. **Minimal:** ensure what is needed to reach your goal can be acquired.

Difficulty

The difficulty of the randomizer's logic. Standard: Logic only requires tricks at a similar level of difficulty to the base game Hard: Logic requires some advanced tech and more difficult execution compared to the base game Expert: Logic requires glitches and extremely difficult execution

Shine Count

How many Shine Sprite items appear in the item pool If this number of shines is less than the availiable locations, it will be adjusted to the number of availible locations
This is a range option.

Normal range: 1 - 171

Goal Level Shines

How many Shine Sprites are required to access level 12-8. If less than this number of Shines exist in the pool, it will be adjusted to the total Shine count.
This is a range option.

Shine Sanity

Enables Shine Sprites in the location pool. Note that if Blue Coin Sanity is also disabled, this will be forcefully enabled

Blue Coin Sanity

Enables Blue Coins in the location pool. Note that if this is the only location option selected, you may find yourself saving and qutting the game regularly to exit levels

Shuffle Bubble Nozzle

Includes the Underwater Hover Nozzle from Noki Bay (called the Bubble Nozzle for brevity) in the item pool. When obtained, you can switch to it with D-Pad Up.

Shuffle Long Jump

Includes the Long Jump move in the item pool. Use it by holding Z and pressing A while moving.

shuffle_fruit_gummies

Includes the Fruit Gummies in the item pool. Fruit Gummies allow Yoshi eggs to be hatched without bringing them fruit. However, Yoshi will not be able to spray juice without eating an actual fruit.

Start with these item's locations prefilled into the ``!hint`` command.
 

Start Location Hints

Start with these locations and their item prefilled into the ``!hint`` command.

Excluded Locations

Prevent these locations from having an important item.

Priority Locations

Prevent these locations from having an unimportant item.
