Well Dweller

Weighted Options

Weighted options allow you to choose how likely a particular option's value is to be used in game generation. The higher a value is weighted, the more likely the option will be chosen. Think of them like entries in a raffle.

Choose the options you would like to play with! You may generate a single-player game from this page, or download an options file you can use to participate in a MultiWorld.

A list of all games you have generated can be found on the User Content page.

Progression Balancing

A system that can move progression earlier, to try and prevent the player from getting stuck and bored early. A lower setting means more getting stuck. A higher setting means less getting stuck.

Goal

What you need to do to finish. queen: defeat The Queen. treasure: get all 32 trinkets and open the treasure room door (the Trinket Door in the Queen's Castle). final_flock: gather all 20 spirits and the 5 Spirit Fragments, then return the fragments to the Spirit Nest. completionist: queen + treasure + final_flock. any: any one of queen, treasure or final_flock.

Tent Travel

How you get Tent Travel (fast travel between tents). start_with: unlocked from the start (recommended: the tent shops sit on a ledge you need Climb or Slingshot to leave, and teleporting is the way out without them). shuffled: it is an item in the pool.

Tent Unlocks

Which tents you can teleport to (with Tent Travel). vanilla: a tent is added when you visit it. all_unlocked: every tent is available from the start. shuffled: each tent is an item in the multiworld (the first tent in the Night Garden is given at the start). A shuffled tent you find yourself is unlocked too. Queen's Castle tents always stay vanilla, so the Golden Feather gate can't be skipped. With all_unlocked or shuffled, the logic counts on teleporting (Tent Travel) to the tents you have: a tent counts as reaching its area.

Lever Checks

Hitting a gate lever for the first time is a check (103 levers). The gate still opens as usual.

Lever Items

HARD / LONG: Death's Door style levers. Pulling a lever only sends its check; the gate it operates opens when that lever's item arrives (receiving the item first also counts the lever as pulled). This locks a large part of the map behind ~90 extra items, so seeds take much longer and you will often wait on other players. Turns Lever Checks on. The castle gate levers and the levers that free Ilda's siblings always work as normal.

Vessel Checks

Breaking a currency vessel for the first time is a check (124 vessels).

Time Trial Checks

Completing each of the 10 time trials is a check, and so is everything behind (or next to) the gate each trial opens: vessels, trinket slots, spirits and more. Off: none of these are checks.

Time Trial Time

Time you get for the time trials, in percent of the normal time (100 = vanilla, 200 = twice as long). Handy because the logic may send you into a trial before you have the abilities it was designed for.

Shop Trinket Point Checks

How many Trinket Point purchase checks there are (one every "Shop Trinket Points per Check" purchases; the shop sells 100, so at most 100 / per check). Purchases cost currency, so only the checks within the first 10 purchases can hold important items; later ones only hold filler. Adds this many locations.
