Weighted Options

Weighted options allow you to choose how likely a particular option's value is to be used in game generation. The higher a value is weighted, the more likely the option will be chosen. Think of them like entries in a raffle.

Choose the options you would like to play with! You may generate a single-player game from this page, or download an options file you can use to participate in a MultiWorld.

Game Options

Progression Balancing

A system that can move progression earlier, to try and prevent the player from getting stuck and bored early. A lower setting means more getting stuck. A higher setting means less getting stuck.
This is a range option.

Accepted values:
Normal range: 0 - 99

The following values have special meanings, and may fall outside the normal range.
  • 0: Disabled
  • 50: Normal
  • 99: Extreme

Accessibility

Set rules for reachability of your items/locations. **Full:** ensure everything can be reached and acquired. **Minimal:** ensure what is needed to reach your goal can be acquired.

Roomsanity

Turn each room entry into a location. This adds 131 checks.

DeathLink

When you die, everyone who enabled death link dies. Of course, the reverse is true too.

Amount of deaths you can have before sending a DeathLink.

DeathLink Behavior

What will happen when recieving a DeathLink. Checkpoint warps you to the last checkpoint you touched. Reset warps you to the starting room.

Trap Percentage

Determines the percentage of traps that replace "Nothing" items.
This is a range option.

Shuffle Lose The Game Traps

This trap will teleport you to the starting room. A higher number means that you are more likely to see the given trap. A value of 0 means the trap will not appear.

Shuffle Secret Rooms Traps

This trap will teleport you to the secret rooms included in the game. Either escape the rooms or die trying. A higher number means that you are more likely to see the given trap. A value of 0 means the trap will not appear.

Will place locations with harder jumps in logic. These include non-obvious movement, pixel perfect jumps, coyote jumping or all at once.

Include Extra Roadblocks

Include up to 4 more roadblocks that require items to access. Quarry (Cerulean Aura Area) Mineshaft (Area Left of Springheel Boots) Castle (Spider Glove Area) Graveyard (Crimson Aura Area)

Password Randomization

Randomize the password at the end of the game. This shuffles 2 new items: "Reveal Magic Word" and "Reveal Magic Symbol". These items will be logically required to beat the game, but won't actually do anything to block you. Off keeps the default password. Words chooses a password from a preset list. Any chooses a random jumble of 5 unique letters.

Filler Options

Local Nothing Percentage

Percentage of "Nothing" items that are placed locally. This world has a LOT of them, especially if you enable any extra checks.
This is a range option.

Shuffle Cat DLC

Shuffles an item in the pool that turns the player into a cat for 9 lives. These lives do not count towards DeathLink and you are protected from its effects while you are a cat.

QOL

Warp to Start Time

While connected to the client, staying crouched for the configured duration will warp you back to the start. If a secret room trap has been triggered, this feature is disabled. The entered value is divided by 10. For example, 50 equals 5 seconds.

Automatically Solve Password

If password randomization is enabled, the password tab will automatically show the password under these conditions: Both the Magic Word and Magic Symbol are revealed. You received all letters required to input your password.

Prevent these locations from having an important item.

Priority Locations

Prevent these locations from having an unimportant item.
